General Information

At Canadian Wedding Treasures, we know you have been thinking about your special day for a long time. A lot of planning goes into making sure everything is picture perfect. You’ll want your invitations and wedding message to reflect your personality and the theme or mood of your wedding day. That’s why at Canadian Wedding Treasures, we decided to make things easier for you by putting together everything you’ll need in one colorful catalogue suited to your budget.

You’ll discover unique invitations and superior quality to convey any wedding tone and style. Our “Designer’s Hints” will suggest coordinating color schemes. To help you prepare for this memorable event, we recommend you allow at least six months to get everything together.

Your Invitation

It’s time to choose a design or style that feels right for you.
Your invitation will include the names of the bride’s and groom’s parents or the hosts, the wedding couple’s first names, the day, month, year and time of your ceremony as well as where it will be held and information about your reception.
Your invitations should be mailed 8 weeks before your wedding date.

The Inner Envelope

The inner envelope houses your invitation.
The lining is available in 33 different colors. You can co-ordinate your envelope lining to match the colored ink your message is printed in or feel free to choose a complementary color.
The inner envelope holds your wedding invitation, response card and return envelope.

The Outer Envelope

The outer envelope is the envelope that gets addressed to your guests on the front, stamped and placed in the mailbox.
If you choose, your return address can be printed on the back flap.
You can also spruce up your envelope and give it that final touch with your choice of seals (see seals).

The Response Card

The response card usually matches your wedding invitation.
It is placed inside each invitation and usually reads “R.S.V.P. before (date)”. There are two lines. One for the name(s) of the guest(s) attending and the other reads, “Number of persons”. The replies to these R.S.V.P. cards let you know how many people will be attending.
Request the response within 2 to 4 weeks of the wedding.

Printed Return Envelope

These small envelopes are for your response cards.
The front includes your name and address or the names and address of the host(s), printed in the ink color you choose. They are included with your order for response cards

Thank You Cards

Printed thank you cards with matching single envelopes included. An elegant “Thank You” printed in the same color as your invitation message. The inside can be printed or left blank. Pick from 6 different pre-printed verses (see verses) or handwrite one of your own.

Reception Cards

These cards can be used as a separate item to announce the time and place of your reception.
Enclose them with your invitations. Envelopes are not necessary. Your printed message can match the ink color of your invitation and reply card.

Evening Cards

Choose this item when inviting certain guests to your reception only.
It will announce the date, time and address of your reception. Comes complete with envelope.

Informal Cards

These handy cards are pre-printed with the names of the bride and groom or just the bride’s name.
Comes with unprinted matching envelopes. These cards are similar to personalized stationery and can be used for thank you notes, gift cards or personal messages.

Matches and Napkins

For beautifully decorated and color-coordinated tables, choose from several different colors and designs (see napkins and matches).
These personalized accessories will add warmth and charm to your special day. Your guests will also have a souvenir of the event.

Place Cards

Avoid confusion and at the same time make all your guests feel important with these seating cards which will direct them to their own personal place.
Bride’s and groom’s first names and the date of the marriage appear on the card.

Corner Copy

Instead of sending out reception cards, your invitation may be printed with all the information on the reception on the lower left corner.
Let your guests know the reception time and location as well as inviting them to your wedding.
